UHF | RAIN - RFID Self-Service Terminal CT - KioskID

The CRAFT TECHNOLOGIES KioskID is a wall-mounted self-service terminal for the RFID-based issue and return of items. Users identify themselves with their HF badge, hold the items in front of the marked reading zone and complete the transaction on the 21.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1920 × 1080 pixels. The integrated UHF | RAIN reader with circularly polarised antenna captures tagged items in bulk within 50 cm of the panel, so tools, IT equipment or PPE can be issued and returned without a staffed counter.

The reader supports EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO/IEC 18000-63 as well as ISO/IEC 18000-6B and works on a fixed frequency or with frequency hopping. It captures fewer than 100 tags per read; range and quantity depend on label performance, item material and the number of items. For user identification the terminal has an HF card reader and a dual camera on board; a code reader is available as an option.

The terminal runs Windows® (Intel® Core™ i5, 4th gen, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage) or Android™ (Rockchip RK3399, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB storage). An SDK and API are provided for integration into asset, tool or library management software. It connects via Ethernet (RJ45) and RS232, optionally via Wi-Fi, and runs on 12 V DC at no more than 20 W. The aluminium frame with acrylic front panel measures 400 × 830 × 78 mm and is rated for −20 to +60 °C.
