Overview
The CT panAx8CBP is a circularly polarized UHF | RAIN RFID far-field panel antenna in open design: a circular radiator on an upper board is mounted on spacers above a 190 × 190 mm base board, without radome. It provides 8 dBic gain with a 75° half-power beamwidth in both planes, at only 17.6 mm depth and 120 g.
Circular polarization keeps tag detection largely independent of how a tag is rotated in front of the antenna. The wideband design covers 860–960 MHz, so one version serves the EU, US and other regional UHF bands, with VSWR ≤ 1.3:1 and 50 Ω impedance for any UHF | RAIN RFID reader (ISO/IEC 18000-63, EPC Gen2).
The RF feed is a pigtail with an SMA female connector. Without a radome, the lightweight antenna suits protected installation, for example in unmanned retail cabinets, smart shelves or archive systems; eight holes in the base board fix it in place. The operating temperature range is −40 to +80 °C.
The CT panAx8CBP is listed at IDCRAFT under UHF RFID antennas. Matching readers: fixed RAIN RFID readers.
