Overview
The CT panAx8CP is a circularly polarized UHF | RAIN RFID panel antenna for indoor installations. 8 dBic gain and a 75° × 75° beam cover read zones at medium to long range, for example in retail, at event entrances or in baggage handling. The housing measures 249 × 219 × 23 mm including mounting lugs and weighs 0.4 kg.
Circular polarization with an axial ratio below 3 dB keeps tag detection largely independent of tag rotation. The wideband design covers 860–960 MHz, so one version serves the EU, US and other regional UHF bands, with VSWR ≤ 1.3:1 and 50 Ω impedance for any UHF | RAIN RFID reader (ISO/IEC 18000-63, EPC Gen2).
The RF feed is a pigtail with an SMA female connector. The white housing of fibre-reinforced plastic and aluminium operates from −40 to +85 °C; four lugs with Ø 3.5 mm holes fix it flat to walls, ceilings or furniture.
