Overview
The CT panAx8CS is a right-hand circularly polarized UHF | RAIN RFID far-field panel antenna with side feed. It delivers 8.5 dBic gain, and an axial ratio below 3 dB keeps the polarization genuinely circular, so tags are read largely independent of their rotation. The low-profile 258 × 258 × 36 mm housing weighs 0.8 kg.
A front-to-back ratio of at least 15 dB concentrates the read zone in front of the antenna and suppresses reads behind it. The wideband design covers 860–960 MHz, so one version serves the EU, US and other regional UHF bands, with VSWR ≤ 1.3:1 and 50 ± 1 Ω impedance for any UHF | RAIN RFID reader (ISO/IEC 18000-63, EPC Gen2).
The RP-TNC female connector sits on the side of the housing, so no clearance is needed behind the antenna for connector and cable bend. The UV-resistant ASA and aluminium housing is rated IP65 for indoor and outdoor operation from −40 to +85 °C (not for acidic or alkaline atmospheres). It is fixed with adhesive tape or a customer-specific bracket on four M4 threaded holes; no bracket is included.
The CT panAx8CS is listed at IDCRAFT under UHF RFID antennas. Matching readers: fixed RAIN RFID readers.
