Overview
The CT panAx9CBS is a circularly polarized UHF | RAIN RFID far-field panel antenna in open design: a circular radiator is mounted on spacers above an aluminium ground plate, without radome. It provides at least 9 dBic gain with a 65° half-power beamwidth in both planes. The 220 × 220 mm plate is only 20.2 mm deep and weighs 0.3 kg.
Circular polarization keeps tag detection largely independent of how a tag is rotated in front of the antenna. The wideband design covers 860–960 MHz, so one version serves the EU, US and other regional UHF bands, with VSWR ≤ 1.3:1 and 50 Ω impedance for any UHF | RAIN RFID reader (ISO/IEC 18000-63, EPC Gen2).
The SMA female connector sits on the bottom edge of the ground plate. Without a radome, the antenna suits protected installation, for example in cabinets, housings or behind non-metallic covers; four Ø 4 mm holes (180 mm square) fix it in place. The operating temperature range is −40 to +85 °C.
The CT panAx9CBS is listed at IDCRAFT under UHF RFID antennas. Matching readers: fixed RAIN RFID readers.
