Overview
The CT HF RFID Label is a family of self-adhesive NFC labels and HF RFID labels operating at 13.56 MHz. Each label combines a thin antenna inlay on 38 or 50 µm PET with an NFC chip from NXP or STMicroelectronics and is available as a dry inlay, wet inlay or fully converted label. Round, square and rectangular formats range from compact 10 × 10 mm NFC stickers to ISO card size (85.6 × 54 mm), so one label family covers product marking, asset tagging, smart packaging and interactive marketing from a single source.
Depending on the chip, the labels follow ISO/IEC 14443A or ISO/IEC 15693. NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are the standard choice for NFC applications: as NFC Forum Type 2 tags they store 144 to 888 bytes of NDEF data and are read directly by NFC-enabled smartphones. ICODE SLIX, SLIX2 and ICODE 3 (NFC Forum Type 5) are the proven choice for library, document and sample tracking. Where security matters, NTAG 424 DNA and NTAG 413 DNA provide AES-128 authentication with dynamic SUN URLs, while NTAG 213 TagTamper detects opened seals. MIFARE Ultralight EV1 and AES, MIFARE Classic EV1 1K and MIFARE DESFire EV1 (2K / 4K) integrate the labels into existing access control, ticketing and closed-loop systems. User memory ranges from 48 bytes to 4 kB.
The face material is chosen to match the surface and the environment: printable white PET for most applications, paper for lightweight low-cost tagging, waterproof PVC (IP67) and epoxy-domed versions for outdoor use, and black PET where the label should stay discreet. On-metal NFC labels with an integrated shielding layer work reliably on metallic and conductive surfaces such as tools, machines and IT hardware. Special versions include foam backing for uneven surfaces, a centre hole for hanging tags and a tamper loop for seals. All labels operate from –20 °C to +50 °C and are supplied with a permanent acrylic adhesive on reels with a 76.2 mm (3 inch) core.
As a value-added distributor, IDCRAFT supplies the CT HF RFID Label blank or custom printed, encoded with your NDEF data or UIDs, serialised and locked, ready to apply. Custom shapes, antenna sizes and chip types are available on a project basis, and samples can be tested before a rollout.
