Overview
The Times-7 A1001 is a compact, wideband near-field RAIN RFID antenna for enclosed spaces and any installation where a small footprint is essential. A single part number covers 864–928 MHz and therefore both the ETSI and FCC bands. The moulded housing measures only 82 x 82 x 9.6 mm and weighs 0.05 kg net, small enough to build into terminals, readers, gates and counters.
Radiation intensity peaks right at the antenna surface, which enables tap-and-go operation and confines detection to tags placed on or near the antenna. The short range reduces stray tag reads and allows one tag to be read at a time. Typical VSWR is 1.4 across the band, and the A1001 works with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port at up to 3 W input power. It is DC grounded for ESD protection and offers a 10 kΩ detection resistance.
The moulded ABS housing is rated IP54, with operation from 0 to +50 °C and storage from -30 to +60 °C. The SMA female connector is centred on the antenna, and mounting holes allow screw fixing (positions per the mechanical drawing). Matching SMA to RP-TNC cables in 2, 4, 6 and 8 m are listed under Cable Accessories. The A1001 is built in New Zealand and is RoHS and CE compliant.
The Times-7 A1001 is listed at IDCRAFT under UHF RFID antennas. Matching readers: fixed RAIN RFID readers.
