UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A1130

The Times-7 A1130 is the mid-size antenna of the True NearField series. It detects RAIN RFID tags precisely within a tightly confined zone above the 300 x 300 mm surface and eliminates surface dead spots. The flat-radome version is 300 x 300 x 8.6 mm and weighs 0.58 kg; the thermoformed version measures 304 x 304 x 8.5 mm.

Because the antenna reads only in the near field at its surface, metal-rich surroundings and liquids do not cause the gain loss and unpredictable read ranges seen with far-field antennas. On shelving, each shelf is read on its own without stray reads from neighbouring shelves or passing items. Typical VSWR is 1.95. ETSI and FCC versions work with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω port; a 10 kΩ resistance enables antenna detection.

The flame-retardant ABS radome is rated IP54 for indoor use from 0 to +50 °C and comes flat or formed, each in black or white. An SMA female connector sits on a 482 mm RG316 fly lead and must only be finger-tightened. The antenna mounts with screws through the discreet rear holes or on an optional 4 mm or 6 mm mounting plate; self-adhesive rubber feet are included for surfaces that cannot be drilled.
