UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A5020LX

The Times-7 A5020LX is the ultra-rugged, linearly polarised member of the A5020 family of compact, ultra-low-profile RAIN RFID antennas. It is vertically polarised along the Y axis and delivers 5 dBi typical gain with a 100° (XZ) by 105° (YZ) 3 dB beamwidth, in a 150.7 x 149.4 mm housing that is only 14.5 mm deep and operates from -90 to +65 °C.

Linear polarisation concentrates energy in one plane for longer reads where the tag orientation is known, typical VSWR is 2.5 and the front-to-back ratio is 12 dB. The antenna covers 865–868 MHz (ETSI) or 902–928 MHz (FCC) and works with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port. The antenna detection resistance is 0 Ω, and the DC-grounded design provides anti-static protection.

The flame-retardant, UV-resistant grey ABS radome is rated IP69K and IP68: it survives high-pressure water cleaning, resists general-purpose chemicals and suits permanent outdoor use and ultra-low-temperature freezers for vaccines, organs and tissue. Recessed corner holes allow flush mounting with 30 mm wood screws or fitting to 100 x 100 mm VESA brackets. The optional A5020 Connector Protection Backplate shields the side-exit SMA jack on brackets.
