UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A5020MR

The Times-7 A5020MR is the mid-range member of the A5020 family of compact, ultra-low-profile RAIN RFID antennas. It is tuned to read just beyond the near-field zone, so tagged items within up to 1.5 m are captured while items further away are ignored. Right-hand circular polarisation, -3 dBiC typical gain and a 115° (XZ) by 105° (YZ) beam sit in a 150.7 x 149.4 x 14.5 mm housing.

The deliberately reduced gain keeps the RF field under control even at higher reader output power, which prevents stray reads in busy, complex environments. Typical VSWR is 1.8, axial ratio 2.5 dB and front-to-back ratio 8 dB. The antenna covers 865–868 MHz (ETSI) or 902–928 MHz (FCC) and works with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port; a 10 kΩ detection resistance lets readers identify it.

The flame-retardant, UV-resistant white ABS radome is rated IP68 for permanent outdoor installation and withstands knocks on conveyors. Recessed corner holes allow flush mounting with 30 mm wood screws or fitting to 100 x 100 mm VESA brackets. The SMA jack exits on the side; the optional A5020 Connector Protection Backplate shields the connector when the antenna sits on a bracket in free space.
