UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A6015

The Times-7 A6015 is a circularly polarised flat-panel antenna array from the SlimLine range of airport antennas, built for self-check-in bag drop systems. It delivers 4 dBiC far-field gain and creates a read zone of up to 1500 mm above and up to 1000 mm across the belt, in a 380 x 549 mm housing that is only 12 mm thick and weighs 2.6 kg.

UHF ActivBeam™ active beam switching steers the field so the antenna 'searches' for tags instead of radiating a fixed beam, which keeps bag tags from being missed. Typical VSWR is below 1.8:1 and front-to-back ratio better than 15 dB. The A6015 covers 865–868 MHz (ETSI) or 902–928 MHz (FCC), accepts up to 6 W and works with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port; the beam switching needs a 12–24 VDC supply at 10 mA max.

A 3 mm HDPE radome protects the array and is rated IP54, with an operating range of 0 to +50 °C. The antenna is affixed directly under the check-in bag drop and connects via 2.2 m side fly leads: an RP-SMA female lead for RF and an M8 lead for the DC supply. Beyond airport baggage handling, it suits any scenario where tags on stationary items must be read reliably.
