UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A6032

The Times-7 A6032 is a circularly polarised far-field RAIN RFID antenna from the Times-7 SlimLine range of multi-purpose antennas. A right-hand circularly polarised element delivers 7 dBiC typical gain with a 3 dB beamwidth of 48° in the XZ plane and 75° in the YZ plane, giving a read range of up to 6 m. The housing measures 390 x 274 mm, is only 12.2 mm deep and weighs 1 kg net.

Typical VSWR is 1.4, the axial ratio below 2 dB at boresight and the front-to-back ratio 22 dB. Versions cover the European ETSI band or 902–928 MHz (FCC) and work with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port at up to 3 W input power. The element is DC grounded for ESD protection, and a 10 kΩ detection resistance lets readers identify a connected antenna.

The fire-retardant ABS radome is rated IP65 and tested to IEC 68-2 for vibration, humidity, cold, heat and temperature shock (-40 to +70 °C). Operating range is -20 to +55 °C. The SMA female connector is on a 324 mm side fly lead. Integrated mounting holes allow flush wall mounting, or the A6032 lies flat as a slim counter antenna; an optional mounting plate adds VESA bracket support.
