Overview
The Times-7 A6590L is a linearly polarised RAIN RFID ground antenna for moving products, assets and people, built for situations where side-mounted antennas are unsuitable. At 915 x 305 x 8 mm and 2 kg it lies flat on the floor within a doorway-sized footprint. It delivers 10 dBi typical gain with a 3 dB beamwidth of 72° in the XZ plane and 23° in the YZ plane.
Typical VSWR is 1.4 and the front-to-back ratio 20 dB. Linear polarisation gives the highest range with tags aligned to the antenna's polarisation plane. ETSI (864–868 MHz) and FCC (902–928 MHz) versions work with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port. The antenna has anti-static protection and accepts up to 6 W input power.
The fire-retardant ABS housing is rated IP65 for indoor and outdoor use from -20 to +55 °C and can be concealed under a mat or other covering. It carries hand trolleys, rubber-wheeled carts, runners, bicycles and occasional pneumatic-tyred vehicles, with point loads up to 7 kg per square centimetre and distributed loads up to 500 kg. The connector is an SMA female side fly lead (300 mm) or a 2 m cable to RP-TNC plug.
The Times-7 A6590L is listed at IDCRAFT under UHF RFID antennas. Matching readers: fixed RAIN RFID readers.
