UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - A7040

The Times-7 A7040 is an ultra-low-profile, linearly polarised flat panel RAIN RFID antenna from the Times-7 SlimLine range. It delivers 7.5 dBi typical far-field gain with a 3 dB beamwidth of 45° in the XZ plane and 80° in the YZ plane. The panel measures 400 x 250 mm, is only 7.9 mm thick and weighs 0.88 kg net, so it fits under shelf boards, in drawers and inside cabinets.

Typical VSWR is 1.6 and the front-to-back ratio 22 dB. Versions cover 864–868 MHz (ETSI) or 902–928 MHz (FCC) and work with any UHF RFID reader with a 50 Ω antenna port at up to 3 W input power. The element is DC grounded for ESD protection, and a 10 kΩ detection resistance lets readers identify a connected antenna.

The fire-retardant ABS radome is rated IP54, with operation from -20 to +55 °C and storage from -30 to +65 °C. The SMA female connector is on a 300 mm side fly lead. The A7040 is designed for real-time asset and product identification in shelving and cabinet systems; custom lengths are available on request.
