UHF | RAIN - RFID Antenna Times-7 - Portal

The Times-7 Portal is a RAIN RFID portal platform for pallet, carton and item-level tracking at dock doors. Its right-hand circularly polarised antennas deliver 10 dBiC (7 dBi equivalent) typical gain with a focused 50° horizontal beam that energises the target pallet while confining the read zone. Portal Units measure 1104 x 397 x 97 mm and stack into 2207 mm Portal Towers.

The narrow beam reduces the keep-out area and cross-reads from adjacent lanes; an evenly distributed vertical pattern covers the full pallet height. Typical VSWR is 1.5, axial ratio 2 dB and front-to-back ratio 20 dB typical. The Portal covers 865–868 MHz (ETSI) or 902–928 MHz (FCC), accepts up to 3 W and works with any standard UHF RFID reader with 50 Ω ports; left-hand circular polarisation is available on request.

ABS covers on a fibreglass frame with aluminium feet, side plates and a universal reader mount are rated IP54 for permanent dock door installations (-20 to +55 °C). Four configurations (System, Tower, Mini Towers, System Combo with Cable Bridge for 2.4–3.2 m doors) suit different pallet heights and portal widths and support easy field adjustments and on-site repairs.
