Overview
The CT Dual Label is a dual frequency RFID label that combines HF (13.56 MHz) NFC technology and UHF (860–960 MHz) RAIN RFID capability in a single compact form factor. By merging short-range NFC interaction with long-range UHF identification, this RFID label eliminates the need for separate tags and provides a unified solution for authentication, inventory management, and supply chain traceability. Built around the EM4425 dual-interface chip, the label supports EPC Class 1 Gen2 / ISO 18000-63 for UHF communication and ISO 14443 for HF applications. This broad protocol support ensures seamless integration with existing RFID infrastructure, from handheld UHF readers and fixed portal antennas to NFC-enabled smartphones and HF desktop readers. Whether scanning thousands of items at warehouse speed or verifying a single product with a quick NFC tap, the CT Dual Label adapts to both operational and consumer-facing use cases.
Security is at the core of this dual frequency RFID label. The EM4425 chip features AES-128 encryption, digital signature capabilities, and tamper detection, making the label well suited for authentication-critical applications. Brand owners and manufacturers can use these features to protect products against counterfeiting, cloning, and unauthorized manipulation, while customers can verify product authenticity directly from their NFC-enabled mobile devices. The CT Dual Label is designed for a wide range of industries and applications. In logistics and warehousing, the UHF interface enables fast bulk scanning and automated asset tracking with read distances of up to 10 meters, significantly improving operational efficiency and inventory accuracy. In retail and apparel, the dual frequency design supports both back-end inventory processes via UHF and front-end customer engagement via NFC. Healthcare organizations benefit from reliable tracking of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive assets, where both security and traceability are essential.
Anti-counterfeiting and brand protection represent another key application area for this RFID label. The combination of encrypted NFC authentication and long-range UHF traceability creates a layered security approach that is difficult to circumvent. Consumers can tap the label with a smartphone to access product information, verify origin, or interact with digital services, while supply chain operators track the same item across the entire logistics chain using UHF RFID readers. With a standard body size of 45 × 25 mm and an antenna size of 40 × 20 mm, the label is compact and lightweight at under one gram. The PET-based construction offers durability and printability, while the self-adhesive backing allows quick application to packaging, products, and equipment. Customization options include pre-printing, data encoding, and tailored sizes to meet specific project requirements. The label is CE, REACH, and RoHS certified and operates within a temperature range of –20 °C to 50 °C, making it suitable for demanding retail, healthcare, production, and warehouse environments.
By combining secure NFC authentication with efficient UHF inventory management, the CT Dual Label provides a cost-effective, scalable, and future-ready RFID solution for businesses looking to digitize their operations, strengthen product security, and deliver interactive customer experiences — all with a single dual frequency label.
